Fair trade in Chelmsford - For fairly and ethically traded gifts, book a party, or invite us to a meeting, show or conference.
See Diary dates below for some other venues where you can find us over the coming weeks.
Do you sometimes have a niggling feeling that things are not as they should be? You catch a TV programme or read in the press that children are being exploited in clothing factories, or cotton-pickers are sick because of the pesticides? Do you feel helpless? Well, maybe you’re not!
We believe we can change the world, a little at a time. Trade is massive, and essential, but as consumers we have the power. The power of choice.
Dalit - meaning crushed or broken - is the name given to India's 'untouchables'. Numbering around 250 million (23% of the Indian population) they are considered subhuman as they fall outside the rigid caste system and are among the poorest and most oppressed people in the world. Dalits are often denied access to even the most basic education and health care, and they are most at risk to trafficking.
